Starting point

Coronaria is Finland`s 5th largest private healthcare company and Silmäasema has 140 stores and 16 eye hospitals across Finland, and in Estonia.

Asset management at Coronaria and Silmäasema was primarily based on Excel files and paper documents.

Cor Group wanted to standardize the monitoring of medical devices at the corporate level and improve patient safety. After a competitive bidding process, IDR was selected as the new asset management solution.

Solution

With the help of IDR, the device information and documentation were completely digitalized in all of Coronaria’s business units as well as in all Silmäasema’s locations.

In the first phase of implementation, the existing inventory was imported into IDR from Excel files. After this, a space rotation was carried out in all locations, where our staff attached IDR smart labels to all medical devices.

Logging into IDR was implemented via SSO authentication, so that all authorized users gained access to the device information they needed.
