Sympa keeps its IT asset inventory up to date with IDR

Sympa is a Nordic software company that needed a reliable overview of its IT devices and a more automated approach to managing their lifecycle.

Integrations keep device data automatically up to date

IDR provided a ready-made Intune integration, enabling device data to sync automatically into the system. As a result, the IT device inventory stays up to date without separate updates.

Warranty information can also be maintained automatically. IDR retrieves the details directly from the manufacturer, making it easier to anticipate service needs and plan potential device replacements.

The availability of spare devices is now always clear

Another concrete benefit of IDR is the management of available devices. In the new process, Sympa marks devices as free in IDR when they become available for reassignment. When a new primary user is assigned to a device in Intune, the device is automatically removed from the list of available devices.

This simple automation removed the need to make separate updates in multiple systems. At the same time, the list of available devices in IDR remains reliable, giving the IT team confidence that the asset inventory always reflects the real situation.
