IDR and Inrego make IT device recycling easier and bring more transparency to sustainability
IDR is strengthening its cooperation with Inrego to offer customers a more automated and responsible way to manage the end-of-life processes of their IT assets.
“At Inrego, we want to make sure that recycling and reselling IT devices for reuse is easy and safe for companies. Thanks to this cooperation, organizations can reduce manual work, take care of timely device replacement, and gain more insights into IT sustainability,” says Timo Kauhanen, Inrego’s Country Manager for Finland.
An integration between IDR’s software and Inrego’s customer portal checks daily which devices have been processed for reuse and compares them with IDR’s records based on serial numbers. When a match is found, the device is automatically removed from use in IDR, and recycling details are saved to under the device information, including:
- Processing date
- Compensation value
- CO₂ savings
- Certificate of secure data erasure
Thanks to the new integration, all recycling information is updated automatically, without manual work. At the same time, sustainability data becomes more visible.
